Rhipicentor

The genus forms part of the Rhipicephalinae subfamily, along with Dermacentor, Margaropus, Rhipicephalus, Hyalomma and Nosomma. There are no records of Rhipicentor human parasitism, but R. nuttalli can cause tick paralysis in dogs.
