Ridan is a French artist, former rapper, born in 1975. He was launched into the limelight in 2004 with his first album Le Rêve ou la Vie. He draws most of his inspiration from artists like Renaud or George Brassens to write songs about racism, origins... He is known for his urban poetry in French banlieue (suburbs). A recurring theme in his songs is the difficult life of Arab immigrants in France. One of his most famous and popular songs is "Ulysse".
