Riehen (auf Baseldeutsch «Rieche» [ˈʀiəχə]) ist neben der Stadt Basel und Bettingen eine von drei Gemeinden innerhalb des Kantons Basel-Stadt in der Schweiz. Mit über 20'000 Einwohnern ist es die zweitgrösste Gemeinde der Nordwestschweiz. Die Gemeinde wird gemeinhin zu den wohlhabenderen Vororten Basels gezählt. Sie beherbergt unter anderem die international berühmte Fondation Beyeler, die als meistbesuchtes Kunstmuseum der Schweiz gilt.
