埼玉市（日语：さいたま市 Saitama shi */?）是日本埼玉縣首府，同時為政令指定都市以及業務核都市，為東京首都圈的主要都市之一。成立於2001年5月1日，2003年4月1日升格為政令指定都市，2005年4月1日將東鄰的岩槻市併入。全市分為10個區，人口約128萬，是日本第10大都市。其市名使用平假名而沒有使用漢字，是日本主要都市中的特例。埼玉市最初由浦和、大宮、与野三市合併而成，是自靜岡市之後又一個大型對等市町村合併的例子。此外，埼玉市也是距離東京最近的縣治，諸多新幹線、在來線和高速公路都在此設置轉運站及系統交流道，為關東地方通往日本北部的重要交通樞紐。
