==Geography== ===Location=== Sambir is situated on the left bank of the Dniester river. The city stands at a crossroads. Distance to the regional center by rail is 78 miles, by road 76 km length of the city from the south-west to north-east is 10.5 km, and from north-west to south-east 4.5 km. The total area is 24 km2. The center is located at the height of 305,96 m above sea level.
