==Geography== ===Location=== Sambir is situated on the left bank of the Dniester river. The city stands at a crossroads. It is a cultural, industrial and tourist center of modern Ukraine. thumb|left|A map of Sambir urban hromada Sambir is the fifth largest city in Lviv Oblast. Distance to the regional center by rail is 78 miles, by road 76 km length of the city from the south-west to north-east is 10.5 km, and from north-west to south-east 4.5 km. The total area is 24 km2. The center is located at the height of 305,96 m above sea level.
