Samuel Friedrich Capricornus, Samuel Frederick actually Fenugreek (December 21 1628 in Šardice, Moravia; † November 10th 1665 in Stuttgart) was a Bohemian-Moravian conductor and composer. After studying in Silesia (Theology) and Vienna (music), he worked from 1649 to 1657 as music director in Bratislava, after he accepted the post of Kapellmeister at Stuttgart, which he held until his death.
