The player controls an aircraft, referred to in the game as a "Jet," and has to guide it across a scrolling terrain, battling obstacles along the way. The ship is armed with a forward-firing weapon and bombs; each weapon has its own button. The player must avoid colliding with the terrain and other enemies, while simultaneously maintaining its limited fuel supply which diminishes over time. 『スクランブル』（英：Scramble）は、1981年に業務用として当時のコナミ（2006年3月31日の持株会社化に伴い、版権はコナミデジタルエンタテインメント へ移行したのち、アーケードゲーム事業はコナミアミューズメントへ移行）から発表された縦画面横スクロールシューティングゲーム。同社初の横スクロールシューティングでもある。 同年の少し後には、同社から類似した内容の『スーパーコブラ』も発表されている。
