Scutigeridae (лат.) — семейство многоножек из отряда Scutigeromorpha класса губоногих. Встречаются повсеместно. Голова округлая, тело из 15 сегментов, покрытых 8 крупными тергитами. Ног 15 пар, глаза сложные, фасеточные. Усики очень длинные, латеральные. Семейство включает многих известных в домах многоножек, таких как Scutigera coleoptrata и Allothereua maculata. Scutigeridae is a family of centipedes that are known as house centipedes. It includes most species of house centipedes, including Scutigera coleoptrata and Allothereua maculata. House centipedes are so named because they are frequently found in and around human dwellings, especially in damp, dark or dimly lit areas such as basements, bathrooms and garages.
