Seether is een post-grungeband uit Zuid-Afrika opgericht in 1999. De muziek van Seether wordt uitgegeven door het platenlabel Wind-up Records. Oorspronkelijk heette de band Saron Gas. Onder deze naam verscheen in 2000 hun eerste album, Fragile. In 2002 werd de naam van Saron Gas veranderd in Seether, gelijktijdig met het uitkomen van hun tweede album, Disclaimer.
