Selma Kurz was an Austrian soprano who lived from 1874-1933. She began in Vienna performing her "legendary singing in Mahler's 1903 revival of Ballo, as well as in Goldmark's Queen of Sheba" which then "cemented her immense popularity with the Viennese public." She also enjoyed success throughout Europe. Between 1900 and 1925, she finished over 150 recordings. Read more on Last.fm
