==History== === Early settlement and foundation === The area where Selydove now stands was historically home to various nomadic tribes, including the Avars, Goths, Huns, Pechenegs, and later the Mongol-Tatars and Nogai Tatars. These groups roamed the steppes for centuries, often displacing one another.
