For centuries, Sennyū-ji has been a mausoleum for noble families and members of the Imperial House of Japan. Located within the temple grounds are the official tombs of Emperor Shijō and many of the emperors who came after him.
Sennyū-ji (泉涌 寺), anteriormente escrito como Sen-yū-ji (仙遊 寺), es un templo budista en Higashiyama-ku en Kioto, Japón. Durante siglos, Sennyū-ji fue un templo mortuorio para los aristócratas y la casa imperial. Aquí se encuentran las tumbas oficiales del emperador Shijō y muchos de los emperadores que vinieron después de él.
