Simois era el nombre dado en la antigua Grecia al actual río Dümruk Su de Turquía. Tiene su fuente en el Monte Ida y se une al Escamandro en la llanura de Troya. Es citado numerosas veces en la Ilíada por Homero. La Biblioteca mitológica le atribuye dos hijas, y Hieromneme. En la mitología griega, Simois era un dios-río de la Tróade, hijo de Océano y de Tetis. Aparece también en el poema Le Cygne de Charles Baudelaire.
