Onder de opeenvolgende politieke regimes veranderde de merknaam van de producten van dit bedrijf in BSW, Gustloff, AWO en uiteindelijk weer in "Simson". Het bedrijf produceerde wapens, fietsen, automobielen, motorfietsen, bromfietsen en kinderwagens.
