Сингл (англ. Single от Single Play record) — грампластинка (шеллачная, затем виниловая), на каждой стороне которой помещалась только одна музыкальная композиция. Термин «сингл» в музыке появился в 1950-е годы, чтобы обозначить различие между долгоиграющими (LP) и одно-/двухпесенными пластинками. Позже синглы также выходили на компакт-дисках и DVD.
