Sintel est un court métrage d'animation néerlandais réalisé par , sorti en 2010. Ce film est le troisième court métrage libre de la fondation Blender, après Elephants Dream et Big Buck Bunny. Sous le nom de code « Durian », il a été réalisé en grande partie à l'aide de logiciels open source (seule la partie sonore a utilisé des logiciels propriétaires), principalement Blender. Le film est disponible sur Internet depuis le 30 septembre 2010 sous licence Creative Commons Attribution 3.0, et l'équipe de production prévoit de fournir en ligne les fichiers qui ont servi à sa réalisation.
