Diagnosis A thick-bodied species, the head and terminus of body about the same thickness as the body; collars very distinct; vent small, T-shaped to subcircular; annuli about 112-130, complete, the grooves edged with white; eyes in sockets distinctly visible externally, the tentacle much closer to eye than to nostril; tongue fastened at tip to gums; no splenials; no distinct narial plugs; choanae small. Reaching a length of 450 mm.
