According to the Syria Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS), Sirmaniyah had a population of 2,087 in the 2004 census. Its inhabitants are predominantly Sunni Muslims.

==History== Sirmaniyah has been identified as the village of "Sarum" where John Maron, the first Maronite patriarch was born. However, the Syrian village of Sarmin to the north has also been identified as "Sarum."
