== Geography == Smilna is located in the foothills of the Carpathian Mountains within Lviv Oblast, southwest of the city of Drohobych. The village lies near the Opalyna River, a tributary of the Bystrytsia-Hirska River, and is surrounded by forested and agricultural landscapes.
