Sombrerete () is a town and municipality located in the northwest region of the Mexican state of Zacatecas.
Sombrerete was founded in 1555 by Spanish conquistador Juan de Tolosa as a mining center. Due to the wealth that the mines provided, it was one of the most important towns in New Spain. The historical center of Sombrerete, La Noria de San Pantaleón, and the Sierra de Órganos National Park were declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2010, as a part of the Camino Real de Tierra Adentro (Royal Inland Road, or Silver Trail).
