Someren ( (info / uitleg); Brabants: Zummere) is een gemeente in de Nederlandse provincie Noord-Brabant. De gemeente telt 19.709 inwoners (31 januari 2022, bron: CBS) en heeft een oppervlakte van 81,43 km². (waarvan 1,33 km² water). De gemeente Someren maakt deel uit van de Metropoolregio Eindhoven (MRE). Someren is een uitgestrekte, geïndustrialiseerde, plattelandsgemeente, gelegen in de stedendriehoek Eindhoven - Helmond - Weert. De gemeente Someren bestaat naast de hoofdkern Someren uit drie kerkdorpen: Someren-Eind, Someren-Heide en Lierop. Tot mei 1935 was Lierop een zelfstandige gemeente. Binnen de kern Someren worden buiten het Centrum de wijken Noord, De Loove, Waterdael en De Groote Hoeven als zodanig benoemd. Aan oostelijke zijde wordt Someren, sinds de laatste grenscorrectie met Asten, begrensd door de Zuid-Willemsvaart. Langs dit kanaal loopt de provinciale weg N266 (Someren - Nederweert). Via de A67 bij Lierop heeft Someren een verbinding met zowel België als Duitsland.
