Spider Robinson is best known (widely acclaimed in fact) as a writer of science fiction. However he was a folk singer/songwriter for years before becoming an author and never did stop either performing or writing music. Often performing concerts and less formal performances at science fiction conventions. His lyrics are generally either quite funny or quite touching, sometimes both at the same time, and as with his prose, the man takes a certain act we are all guilty of and embarassed for enjoy
