Squeeze are an English pop rock band formed in London, England in 1974. The band was formed by songwriters Glenn Tilbrook (vocals, guitar) and Chris Difford (guitar, vocals) who have been the group's only constant members since the band's formation (with the exception of Difford's hiatus from the band in 1999). Aside from Difford and Tilbrook, the band currently consists of Stephen Large (keyboards), Lucy Shaw (bass) and Simon Hanson (drums). The group initially split in 1982, but reunited in

Squeeze è il quinto e ultimo a album di studio ad uscire a nome Velvet Underground.Venne pubblicato solo in Europa nel febbraio del 1973 dalla Polydor Records. L'album fu principalmente scritto e registrato dal solo cantante e chitarrista Doug Yule in uno studio di registrazione di Londra, a seguito dell'abbandono del gruppo da parte di Lou Reed e di Sterling Morrison. La batterista Maureen Tucker, anche se all'epoca era ancora tecnicamente un membro della band, non fu in nessun modo coinvolta nella registrazione del disco. L'album fu un notevole insuccesso di pubblico e critica e viene oggi considerato un disco "apocrifo" nella discografia dei Velvet Underground.
