He was son of Henrich (Genrick) Gustavovich Neuhaus. Stanislav Neuhaus is underrated compared to his father Heinrich Neuhaus because he was often in the shadow of his father and his father's pupil Sviatoslav Richer. That doesn't take away from his talent or creditability because he was also a teacher in Moscow. <a
