The famous American songwriter Stephen Foster (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stephen_Foster) (July 4, 1826- January 14, 1864) was author of the words and music of some of the most well-known American songs, including "Camptown Races" and "I Dream of Jeannie with the Light Brown Hair".
