Sydney Showground is the venue and event management business of the Royal Agricultural Society of NSW (RAS), a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to promoting excellence in agriculture. Sydney Showground was established in 1998 as a purpose-built home for major events as part of the NSW Government's multi-million dollar development for the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games. Today it is a world-class venue, delivering over 150 national and international major events each year, including music festivals, sporting events, exhibitions, trade shows and the Sydney Royal Easter Show, the flagship event of the RAS and the nation's largest annual ticketed event. All profits from events held on the site are invested back into supporting Australian agriculture and rural communities. Every client is assigned a dedicated event manager to help design the event from the ground up. They will provide assistance on every detail from advice on traffic flow to liaising with relevant government authorities. The floor manager assigned to your event will oversee the smooth running of your day, coordinating security, ticketing, transport and cleaning. Sydney Showground offers a range of specialist technical services with in-house electricians, plumbers, sign-makers, painters and maintenance crew at your disposal. Audio-visual, staging and production can be provided through the venue's preferred partner, Harry the Hirer. The Sydney Showground security team are experts at managing the complex challenges of big events and have an excellent working relationship with NSW Police. A 24-hour security control room with access to feeds from over 120 CCTV cameras across the precinct ensures the safety and security of guests. The vast network of hidden service trenches beneath Sydney Showground's venues provide access to all the utilities you and your exhibitors could possibly need. Operated by the Royal Agricultural Society of NSW, we host over 150 unique events each year ranging from exhibitions and corporate events through to music festivals, sport (as the home of the GWS GIANTS AFL and Sydney Thunder Cricket teams) and of course, our very own Sydney Royal Easter Show. The key to making all of this happen is our Sydney Showground team, full of expertise, passion and pride, and winners of multiple BEST VENUE TEAM awards and most recently, large VENUE of the YEAR. Representing a diverse range of industries and with a wide skillset, our people are essential to assisting our clients deliver amazing events. The Sydney Showground team were outstanding in all aspects of our 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup International Broadcast Centre venue delivery. The support from Management & Staff throughout the project was excellent. The Sydney Showground team were hugely supportive of our project, investing time and energy above what would be expected of a venue provider. No challenge was too hard, no task was too big, and the positive professional attitude to problem solving was greatly appreciated by the on-site FIFA teams.
