Təngərud (also, Tengerud, Təngərüd, Tangerud, and Tangyarud) is a village and municipality in the Astara Rayon of Azerbaijan. It has a population of 3,298.
==Etymology== Tengerud means "narrow river" in the Talysh language. The name comes from the name of the river in Tengerud. The river starts from the Talysh Mountains and flows into Caspian Sea.
