Teano (AFI: /teˈano/, Tiánë in dialetto teanese) è un comune italiano di 11 399 abitanti della provincia di Caserta in Campania. Città di origine osca, è l'antica Teanum Sidicinum capitale dei Sidicini, così chiamata per distinguerla dall'omonima città pugliese Teanum Apulum. Anticamente conosciuta come porta della Campania in virtù della sua posizione geografica, è famosa per essere stata teatro dello storico incontro tra Giuseppe Garibaldi e il re Vittorio Emanuele II, avvenuto nel 1860, per cui viene spesso definita anche culla dell'Unità d'Italia. Sita alle porte del parco regionale di Roccamonfina-Foce Garigliano, è sede della diocesi di Teano-Calvi.
