Tegueste
Sign in to saveTegueste is a town and a municipality of the northeastern part of the island of Tenerife in the Santa Cruz de Tenerife province, on the Canary Islands, Spain. It is surrounded by the municipality of San Cristóbal de La Laguna. The town Tegueste is located 4 km northwest of San Cristóbal de La Laguna and 11 km northwest of the island capital Santa Cruz de Tenerife. Tegueste became independent from San Cristóbal de La Laguna in the 17th century.

Tegueste é um município da Espanha na província de Santa Cruz de Tenerife, comunidade autónoma das Canárias. Tem 26,4 km² de área e em 2021 tinha 11 326 habitantes (densidade: 429 hab./km²). Atualmente, acredita-se que o nome do lugar Tegueste está relacionado com Tagaste, uma cidade no norte da África, onde nasceu Santo Agostinho de Hipona e um centro de cultura berbere.
