Teispe di Ansan
Sign in to saveTeïspes (from Greek , Teispēs; in Čišpiš; Akkadian: 𒅆𒅖𒉿𒅖 Šîšpîš, Elamite: Zi-iš-pi-iš) ruled Anshan in 675–640 BC. He was the son of Achaemenes of Persis and an ancestor of Cyrus the Great. There is evidence that Cyrus I and Ariaramnes were both his sons. Cyrus I is the grandfather of Cyrus the Great, whereas Ariaramnes is the great-grandfather of Darius the Great.

Teispe di Ansan (nome greco Τεΐσπης; 675 a.C. – 640 a.C.) è ricordato come figlio di Achemenes, il mitico progenitore della dinastia che fondò l'impero persiano. Teispe conquistò la città elamita di Ansan assumendo appunto il titolo di re di Ansan rimanendo però vassallo dei sovrani della Media sotto i quali portava il titolo di re di Persia. Suo figlio fu Ciro I.
