文字編輯（英語：TextEdit）是一款簡易开源的文字處理器以及，首次出現在NeXT、NEXTSTEP和OPENSTEP系統上。目前除了支援蘋果公司（Apple Inc.）開發的Mac OS X操作系统，另外以GNUstep的形式存在unix相容作業系統上，像是Linux。文字編輯取代了早期麥金塔電腦上的。文字編輯可讀取的文件格式包括Rich Text Format、Rich Text Format Directory以及純文字檔案。
