The Enterprise encounters a ghost ship, and Kirk gets caught on it. It’s up to Spock and McCoy to get him back, but can they conquer their own differences first? Plus, madness is hitting the crew and the Enterprise is being webbed in by Tholians! Lots happening as we put The Tholian Web in the Mission Log. I always thought this was one of the cooler alien-aliens. Did they change it much for the HD FX Redux? Yea, this didn’t feel true to McCoy at all, he just seemed argumentative for contrary’s sake. If Spock would have chosen to leave Kirk behind to save the ship, I can just hear McCoy now, “Spock! Jim’s your Captain, your friend! And you’re going to leave him behind?! Blast that cold Vulcan heart of yours.” Loving the podcast, btw. It’s probably going to take me over a year to catch up but I’m excited to get into some new material. I’ve seen the original series multiple times and TNG once but I haven’t seen any other Star Trek shows. Be prepared for plenty more long-winded and rambling comments like the ones I’ve been posting! Welcome, Katie – and thanks for coming along for the ride. Even when you catch up, we’ll have so much more to go, and it will be interesting to hear from people who have not seen the episodes we’ll be covering.
