The Unwritten Code è un film muto del 1919 diretto da Bernard J. Durning che aveva come suo assistente William A. Wellman, che sarebbe poi diventato un famoso regista di Hollywood. Prodotto dalla Edison Company poco prima che la casa di produzione chiudesse, il film aveva come interpreti Shirley Mason (nota attrice e moglie del regista), Ormi Hawley, Matt Moore, Frank O'Connor, T. Tamamoto. Le scenografie erano firmate da Cedric Gibbons, qui al suo primo lungometraggio.
