Theophrasta ist die namensgebende Pflanzengattung der Unterfamilie der Theophrastoideae in der Familie der Primelgewächse (Primulaceae). Sie wurde von Carl von Linné nach dem griechischen Philosophen und Naturforscher Theophrastos von Eresos benannt.
