Todd Dean Mark McFarlane (Calgary, 16 marzo 1961) è un disegnatore, fumettista e imprenditore canadese. Conosciuto soprattutto per aver creato i personaggi di Venom e Spawn, tra gli anni ottanta e gli anni novanta McFarlane diventò uno degli autori di maggior successo realizzando due testate della Marvel Comics sull'Uomo Ragno. Nel 1992 fondò insieme con altri autori la Image Comics e pubblicò per essa il fumetto Spawn, che segnò un record di vendite e fu il primo importante fumetto di cui l'autore deteneva i diritti sullo sfruttamento della proprietà intellettuale. Nel primo decennio del XXI secolo McFarlane scrive e disegna molto meno, per dedicarsi maggiormente alla sua carriera da imprenditore con la McFarlane Toys, che si occupa di action figure e con la , uno studio per film e animazioni. McFarlane è anche proprietario della squadra di Hockey Edmonton Oilers ed è un grande collezionista ed appassionato di oggetti riguardanti il baseball.
