Tohmajärvi is een gemeente in de Finse provincie Oost-Finland en in de Finse regio Noord-Karelië. De gemeente heeft een totale oppervlakte van 701 km² en telde 5239 inwoners op 31 december 2007. Tohmajärvi is de geboorteplaats van de Finse zangeres Katri Helena.
