William Anthony (Tony) Parker, II (born May 17, 1982, in Bruges, Belgium) is a French National Basketball Association (NBA) player with the San Antonio Spurs and captain of France's national basketball team. Parker gained fame as one of the best French players in the NBA, playing at point guard. Parker, although born in Belgium, was raised in France, and is a French citizen. His father, Tony Parker Sr., is an African-American former professional basketball player and his mother, Pamela Firestone
