==Description== Toxochelys had carapace about in length. Two species in the genus are recognized, Toxochelys latiremis and Toxochelys moorevillensis. Phylogenetic analysis shows that Toxochelys belong to an extinct lineage of turtles transitional between modern sea turtles and other turtles.
