Twelve's songs are more heavily electronic than most of Six By Seven's, and are stylistically varied, including both guitar and electronics driven songs and elaborate textures along side more straightforwards songs. L'uscita dell'album è stata accompagnata da un EP intitolato Two More, contenente due brani non compresi nell'album: Perfect Day di Lou Reed e Here I Dreamt I Was an Architect dei The Decemberists.
