bildhafte Vorstellung einer jenseitigen Welt
The underworld, also known as the netherworld or hell, is the supernatural world of the dead described in various religious traditions and myths, typically imagined as existing below the world of the living. Understanding the underworld matters because these beliefs about the afterlife and the realm of the dead have shaped religious practices, moral systems, and cultural narratives across many civilizations throughout history.
