T. Vadipatti is a panchayat town in the Madurai district in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu.and also known as "west gateway of Madurai.
==Etymology== The name T. Vadipatti derives from the root vaayil or vaasal, meaning 'the door' or 'entrance'. It was one of the historical boundaries and entrance to Madurai and the camping place of Pandyas, which is evident from the Kulasekara Pandian period.
