Vampire Weekend is an American indie rock band formed in February 2006 in New York, New York, United States. The band consists of Ezra Koenig (vocals, guitar), Chris Baio (bass) and Christopher Tomson (drums). Rostam Batmanglij has left the band in early 2016 to begin solo career, but will continue to collaborate with Ezra. El álbum fue autoproducido, con colaboraciones de Jeff Curtin y Shane Stoneback En los Estados Unidos, el álbum vendió sobre 27 000 copias en su primera semana de lanzamiento, debutando en el número 17 del Billboard 200.​ En la undécima semana en las listas del Reino Unido alcanzó el puesto nº 15.​ Además alcanzó el nº 37 en Australia.
