Vernon Alphonsus Reid is a British-born American guitarist and songwriter. Reid is the founder and primary songwriter of the rock band Living Colour, Reid was named No. 66 on Rolling Stone magazine's 2003 list of the 100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time.

Vernon Reid (born August 22, 1958) is a guitar player, perhaps best known as the founder and primary songwriter of hard rock group Living Colour. He was named #66 on Rolling Stone's 100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time. Reid is probably best known for leading Living Colour.
