Walt Kelly (1913–1973) was an American animator and cartoonist, best known for the comic strip Pogo. He began his animation career in 1936 at Walt Disney Studios, contributing to Pinocchio, Fantasia, and Dumbo.

Walter Crawford Kelly, Jr (August 25, 1913 - October 18, 1973), known as Walt Kelly, was a cartoonist notable for his comic strip Pogo featuring characters that inhabited a portion of the Okefenokee Swamp in Georgia. A songbook and album of songs written by Kelly and based on the comic strip, Songs of the Pogo, was released in 1956.
