If you are flying a drone (or unmanned aerial vehicle) within 4 km of the Whakatāne airport, utilise Airshare to log your flights. The Whakatāne Aerodrome has two runways, the sealed night-capable runway at a length of 1280m (09/27) and the grass runway of 750m suitable for light aircraft.
