==History== Under the 1648 Peace of Westphalia, which ended the Thirty Years’ War, Sweden acquired large territories in what is now Germany, including Pomerania, Wismar, Bremen-Verden, and Wildeshausen. While Bremen-Verden, Pomerania, and Wismar remained long-term Swedish dominions, Wildeshausen was only briefly under Swedish control.
