Wilhelm Schüchter (born 15 December 1911 in Bonn, died 27 May 1974 in Dortmund) was a German conductor. He was Generalmusikdirektor in Dortmund and left a legacy of opera recordings. Professional career: Schüchter studied piano at the Hochschule für Musik Köln, composition with Philipp Jarnach, and orchestral conducting with Hermann Abendroth.
