William Jackson (born in Cambuslang, near Glasgow, on 14 September 1955) is a Scottish harpist and composer. In 1969 he formed the Scottish folk group Contrabandwith his brother George (died 1998). After Contraband disbanded in 1975, he became a founding member of folk band Ossian in 1976. in 1984 he recorded as Billy Jackson & Billy Ross. With grandparents from County Donegal, Jackson visited Ireland many times throughout his childhood and continues to have a home there. <a href="https://www.l
