Die Stadt Willich liegt am Niederrhein im Westen von Nordrhein-Westfalen. Sie ist eine Mittlere kreisangehörige Stadt des Kreises Viersen, liegt am westlichen Rand der Metropolregion Rhein-Ruhr und hat den Status eines Mittelzentrums.Sie liegt 17 Kilometer westlich von Düsseldorf, 10 Kilometer östlich von Viersen, 8 Kilometer südlich von Krefeld und 11 Kilometer nordöstlich von Mönchengladbach. Willich hat ein großes Gewerbegebiet und ist durch die Neersener Schlossfestspiele überregional bekannt.
