Sign in to saveThe traditional Chinese calendar divides a year into 24 solar terms. Xiǎohán, Shōkan, Sohan, or Tiểu hàn () is the 23rd solar term. It begins when the Sun reaches the celestial longitude of 285° and ends when it reaches the longitude of 300°. It more often refers in particular to the day when the Sun is exactly at the celestial longitude of 285°. In the Gregorian calendar, it usually begins around 5 January and ends around 20 January.

Xiǎohán (pīnyīn), Shōkan (rōmaji) eller Sohan (kinesiska och japanska: 小寒; koreanska: 소한; vietnamesiska: Tiểu hàn; bokstavligen ”lilla kölden”) är den tjugotredje solarperioden i den traditionella östasiatiska lunisolarkalendern (kinesiska kalendern), som delar ett år i 24 (節氣). Xiaohan börjar när solen når den ekliptiska longituden 285°, och varar till den når longituden 300°. Termen hänvisar dock oftare till speciellt den dagen då solen ligger på exakt 285° graders ekliptisk longitud. I den gregorianska kalendern börjar xiaohan vanligen omkring den 5 januari och varar till omkring den 20 januari.
